JESSICA WATOR (she/her)

Jessica works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays & is currently accepting new clients

Jess is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has completed a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University and is currently undertaking her Educational and Developmental Psychology registrar program.

Jess has extensive experience working across private and government schools, in private practice, and within multi-disciplinary teams. She is passionate about advocacy for people with disability and understands how complex life circumstances can significantly impact daily life and well-being.

Operating from a solution-focused, strengths-based and neuro-affirmative approach, Jess seeks to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to gain insight and self-awareness as a foundation for meaningful change. She supports clients across the lifespan – from infants to older adults – and reassures them that by seeking support, they are giving themselves the opportunity to explore their challenges, strengths, and goals in pursuit of a fulfilling and purposeful life, even in the face of adversity.

Jess applies evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and play therapy.

She is skilled in conducting psychological assessments for a range of purposes, including cognitive, academic, social, emotional, behavioural, personality, and career assessments. These assessments help with understanding and diagnosing a variety of concerns, such as school performance issues, intellectual disability, specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), ADHD, and autism.

Outside of her professional life, Jess enjoys spending time in nature, embracing new learning opportunities, and connecting with loved ones. These activities help her maintain a balanced and grounded perspective, which she brings into her therapeutic work.
