Bridgette is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Bridgette completed her Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University and is currently undertaking her Educational and Developmental Psychology registrar program.
Bridgette aims to provide each of her clients with a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore their individual concerns and work on their therapeutic goals. She takes a person-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy and works alongside her clients to help them reach their full potential. Bridgette believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and developing individualised, flexible, and holistic care for her clients.
Bridgette has experience working with neurodivergent individuals and their families across multiple settings. When providing assessment, diagnosis, and counselling, she strives to take a neuroaffirming approach. She is passionate about the importance of listening to the voices and experiences of neurodivergent people and using these to guide her choices and approach as a psychologist.
Bridgette draws on a variety of evidence-based therapies to suit her clients’ needs including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness. She works with clients across the lifespan including preschool and primary school children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience treating and diagnosing a range of concerns and disorders and has a particular interest in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, life transitions, stress, and emotion regulation difficulties.
Bridgette can conduct social, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and academic assessments, including those for specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), giftedness, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism), intellectual disabilities, mood disorders, and behavioural issues.
In her spare time, Bridgette loves spending time outside, going on walks, listening to podcasts, playing Animal Crossing or Dreamlight Valley on Nintendo Switch, baking, and reading a good book. She adores her two cats, Buckley and Kiara.
